Where it fits
The GAMIAC PA50 is a wired optical mouse released on 29 May 2025. It uses a PixArt PMW3327 sensor, weighs 50 g and has six buttons, five of them programmable. It is a plain, cabled gaming-style mouse. There is no battery to charge and no wireless pairing to set up.
Shape and comfort5/10
GAMIAC describes the shape as right-handed and ergonomic. That rules out left-handed users, and the specifications show one shape with no size options. If your hand is much larger or smaller than average, you have no variant to choose from.
The 50 g weight leaves little mass to move around the desk. With that figure as the basis, it should suit quick, repeated movements better than slow, deliberate ones. Long-session comfort still depends on your grip and hand size, and there are no owner comfort reports to lean on.
Sensor and tracking7/10
The sensor is a PixArt PMW3327. It is optical, not laser. GAMIAC quotes up to 12400 DPI, 220 IPS and 1000 Hz polling. The 12400 DPI figure is also the highest of the six presets.
The preset DPI levels are 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6200 and 12400. The default is 1600. That gives a sensible spread from low-sensitivity precision work to very fast cursor movement. The 400 setting is the lowest step and 12400 the highest, so you can move between slow, exact control and quick sweeps without leaving the presets.
Connection and power
This is the weakest area on paper. The PA50 is wired only. It has no Bluetooth, no 2.4 GHz receiver and no battery. That means no multi-device wireless pairing and no charging routine. For a desk-bound machine that is fine. For a laptop you carry between rooms, or a setup where you want to avoid cable clutter, it is a limitation.
The cable is 180 cm long, braided and detachable. The length gives room to reach a tower under or beside a desk. Being detachable, it can be unplugged from the mouse when you pack it away.
Buttons and build7/10
The main switches are Huano units rated for 20 million clicks. That is a manufacturer rating, so treat it as a target rather than a promise. Five of the six buttons can be programmed. That is useful for macros, shortcuts in editors and terminals, or game binds.
Software6/10
GAMIAC provides a download called PA50 Software. It is listed for Windows 8, 10 and 11, and for Mac OS. Linux is not among the listed systems. If you run Linux on your main machine, that matters, because button programming is the reason to want the software in the first place.
Who it suits
The PA50 suits a right-handed user on Windows or macOS who wants a wired mouse with a modern sensor and plenty of programmable buttons. The PMW3327 sensor with up to 12400 DPI and the Huano switches rated for 20 million clicks are the main draws, and the lack of a battery removes one thing to maintain.
It does not suit people who want wireless, multi-device switching or a left-handed or small-hand option. Those needs are not covered by anything in the specifications.
Who should skip it
- Left-handed users, as the shape is right-handed only
- Buyers who want Bluetooth, a USB receiver or a battery
- Linux users who need the vendor software for button programming
