NAS deals: the real ones

We check UK prices for every NAS we've reviewed every hour, and compare each one with what it has actually sold for, not the shop's “was” price. One only shows here as a deal if it's genuinely cheaper than usual.

Price history is still building: drops show here once we've tracked a price for a week

Real price drops right now

We list genuine drops here once we've tracked each price for at least a week, so a deal is measured against what it really sold for. Until then, use the prices below as your guide.

Not on sale yet? The price worth waiting for

Our top 3 picks, what they usually cost, and the price we'd call a good deal.

Before you buy a NAS in a sale

How do you know a deal is real?

We check UK prices for every NAS we've reviewed every hour and keep the history. A price counts as a drop only when it's below what the product has actually sold for over the last month, not below a shop's "was" price, which is often made up.

Should I buy the hard drives at the same time?

Most NAS boxes come without drives, so budget for them. Drive prices move on their own schedule, so check the price per terabyte rather than the headline discount, and use drives made for NAS use. Buying them from different batches lowers the chance of two failing together.

Is a sale NAS worth it over a cloud backup?

A NAS pays off once you have more than a couple of terabytes to keep, or want to run a media server. For a few hundred gigabytes of photos, a cloud plan is simpler. Either way, a NAS isn't a backup on its own: keep a second copy somewhere else.

“Usually” is the median of the lowest daily UK price over the last month, or the typical price we found when researching a product we haven't tracked for a week yet. Prices change, so check the price and delivery date with the shop before you buy. Links to retailers may earn us a commission, which never affects which product we pick.
