A headset is headphones with a microphone, for calls, gaming and shutting out noise.
Do you need a headset? Worth it if you're on calls a lot, game online, or work somewhere noisy.
What to look for
- A clear microphone (a boom mic is clearest)
- Comfort for hours of wear
- Noise cancelling if you work somewhere noisy, and long battery life if wireless

The full review
Where it fits
The STEALTH PANTHER is a wired gaming headset that connects through a 3.5mm jack. STEALTH lists it for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile devices. It was released in September 2023.
The appeal is the range of platforms from a single headset. If your household has a mix of consoles and a PC, one headset with one connection type covers the lot on paper. It is a simple, no-pairing approach.
Sound6/10
The headset uses 40mm drivers with airflow chambers. That is the extent of the audio detail. There are no published codec features, which is expected for a wired analogue headset, as the signal comes down the 3.5mm cable. With that driver setup and a closed-back design, it reads as a straightforward gaming headset for game audio and party chat rather than a specialist audio product.
Microphone7/10
The microphone is a flexible boom with a pop filter. The headset also has an integrated volume control and a mic mute. Those are the features that matter most in online play: you can position the mic where you want it, cut your voice quickly when needed, and adjust volume without leaving the game. A boom mic with mute and volume built in is a sensible set for a headset aimed at multiplayer.
Comfort7/10
Comfort is the one theme that comes through from owners. They describe long sessions with no discomfort and no neck fatigue. The Lavender variant is listed at 0.06 kg (2.11 oz), and that low listed weight fits those reports. The closed-back design also gives a bit of passive noise isolation, so the ear cups close around the ears rather than leaving them open to the room.
Connectivity and battery5/10
This is a wired headset. The connection is a 3.5mm jack, and the Amazon.com listing for the Lavender model states no Bluetooth support. If you want to move around the room or pair with a phone wirelessly, this is not the design for it.
The upside of wired is that battery does not apply to the standard wired models. There is nothing to charge. The LED variant is different: it is rechargeable through an included USB-C cable, and STEALTH doesn't publish a battery life for it. Check which variant you are buying, because the Lavender and LED versions are listed separately.
Noise isolation5/10
The closed-back design gives a bit of passive noise isolation. No active noise cancelling is published. For gaming at home, the closed-back cups are the only noise control on offer.
Variants
The listings cover at least two versions: a Lavender model and an LED model. The weight figure in the specifications is for the Lavender variant, and the USB-C charging detail applies to the LED variant. Look at the exact product page before buying so you know which features come with the colour or lighting you want.
Verdict
The STEALTH PANTHER is a practical choice if you want a single wired headset for several platforms. Its strengths are the boom mic with pop filter, mute and volume control, the wide platform list, and owner reports of long-session comfort. Its limits are just as clear from the specs: wired 3.5mm only, no Bluetooth, and passive isolation rather than active noise cancelling. If you want a plug-in headset that works across your consoles and PC, it fits. If you want wireless or noise cancelling, look at other models.
