How do you know a deal is real?

We check UK prices for every headset we've reviewed every hour and keep the history. A price counts as a drop only when it's below what the product has actually sold for over the last month, not below a shop's "was" price, which is often made up.

Does the microphone matter?

If you're on calls a lot, yes. Headphones made for music often have weak microphones; a headset with a boom mic sounds clearer to the people you're talking to.

Will it work with my phone, console and computer?

Check the connection. A USB dongle may only work with computers and some consoles, Bluetooth with phones, and a 3.5 mm cable with nearly everything.
