The Dell P2725HE is for people who want one cable between a laptop and a desk full of peripherals. It suits office and admin work where a USB-C hub, wired Ethernet and daisy-chaining matter more than pixel density.

The full review
Where it fits
The P2725HE is a 27-inch Full HD IPS monitor built around a USB-C hub. Its job is to carry video, data and charging to a laptop over one cable. It runs at 100Hz and has a stand that adjusts for height, tilt, swivel and pivot. The trade-off is resolution, and that shapes who should buy it.
Connectivity and docking9/10
This is the strongest part of the spec sheet. The upstream USB-C port uses DisplayPort 1.4 alt mode and Dell lists up to 90W power delivery on it. With that figure, the monitor suits a single-cable desk where the laptop charges and drives the screen together.
The hub side is generous. There is a 1GbE RJ45 port, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A downstream ports, and one USB-C downstream port rated up to 15W, data only. Video inputs are HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4. A DisplayPort output supports MST and daisy-chaining, so a second monitor can hang off the first where the setup allows it.
Owners praise the built-in USB-C hub and the connectivity. That matches the specification, since the ports are the reason to pick this model.
Sharpness is the weak point2/10
The panel is 1920 x 1080 stretched over 27 inches. Pixel density is 81.57 PPI. Text is drawn with fewer pixels per inch than a higher-resolution panel of the same size would use. For anyone reading code, logs or documents in small type for hours, that is the main thing to weigh against the hub features.
Panel and motionPanel quality 6/10Refresh rate and motion 7/10
The panel is IPS with an anti-glare finish and a 3H hardness coating. Viewing angles are listed at 178°/178°. Dell quotes 99% sRGB coverage, 1,500:1 typical contrast and 300 cd/m² typical brightness. No wider-gamut figure is listed, so colour-critical work is not what the specs point to. For general office use, sRGB coverage at that level is a reasonable basis.
Refresh rate is 100Hz. Response time is 5 ms GTG in fast mode and 8 ms in normal mode.
The monitor also lists TÜV 4-star eye comfort and flicker-free certification.
Stand and build7/10
The stand gives up to 150 mm of height adjustment, tilt from -5° to +21°, swivel of ±45° and pivot of ±90°. Pivot matters if you want the screen upright for reading code or documents.
Dell offers a three-year limited hardware warranty with advanced exchange service and premium panel exchange. The monitor carries ENERGY STAR, EPEAT Gold and TCO Certified Edge listings, which may matter for office or institutional purchasing.
Who it suits
The P2725HE suits a laptop-based desk where one USB-C cable should handle display, charging, wired networking and peripherals. Its 90W power delivery, 1GbE port, USB-A hub and daisy-chain output cover that job in one box. It also suits shared or office desks where a three-year warranty and the listed eco certifications count.
It is a weaker choice if sharpness is the priority. At 81.57 PPI on 27 inches, text clarity is the compromise you accept for the hub and the stand. The only colour coverage figure listed is 99% sRGB, so check that against your needs if colour work matters to you.
