The full review

Where it fits

The Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16-inch is a Windows 11 laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB of soldered LPDDR5X and a 512GB SSD. It was released in January 2024. It weighs 1.66kg and is 12.8mm thick. Its strengths are the screen, the battery and the port selection. Its limits are fixed memory and storage, and how the chip behaves under a long load.

Performance7/10

The Core Ultra 7 155H runs up to 4.8GHz and has 24MB of L3 cache and Intel Arc graphics. The research adds a caveat. The chip can briefly draw up to 64 watts, then settles at around 30 watts, and performance drops about 35% under sustained load. Owners report thermal throttling and fan noise under heavy load.

That pattern points to short bursts of work: quick builds, test runs, editing and everyday admin tasks. Long compile jobs or other sustained loads are where the throttling reports apply.

Memory and storage5/10

This is the main limit. The 16GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the board and is not user-upgradeable. Storage is a single NVMe slot that is not user-accessible, and no screws are visible on the underside. The configuration you buy is the one you keep.

Reviewers call 16GB the minimum recommended for the Windows 11 experience. Owners say 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage are a ceiling for power users. With that memory shared with Windows, a few containers or a single VM fit the spec better than several VMs. Anyone who keeps large repositories, images or VM disks locally will have to manage the 512GB carefully.

Display9/10

The display is the standout feature. It is a 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen at 2880 x 1800 (WQXGA+) with a 48-120Hz variable refresh rate. The panel is anti-reflective. Samsung lists 400 nits typical brightness and 500 nits peak for HDR. The resolution suits long sessions with text, and owners praise the AMOLED panel.

Brightness is the figure to watch. The 500 nits is a peak for HDR content, and 400 nits is the typical level.

Battery8/10

The battery is 76Wh. Samsung rates it at up to 21 hours of video runtime, and Notebookcheck says the device can easily last for 15 hours. Owners also praise the battery life. The 21-hour figure is for video playback, so treat it as a ceiling rather than a promise for heavy work. Even the lower 15-hour figure from Notebookcheck is a long working day.

Ports and buildKeyboard and build 6/10Ports 8/10

The port list is practical. It has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI, one USB-A, a microSD slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. That covers external displays, fast storage and older USB-A devices without a dock. The spec lists no Ethernet port, and there is no full-size SD slot, only microSD.

The research gives the weight as 1.66kg and the thickness as 12.8mm.

Linux4/10

The laptop runs Windows 11 Home, and some configurations are listed with Windows 10. Samsung doesn't list Linux certification or a preinstalled Linux option in the specifications. The research has no owner reports on Wi-Fi, sleep or fingerprint support under Linux. Anyone planning to run Linux as the main system has no stated support to rely on here.

Verdict

This suits someone who wants a sharp OLED screen, long runtime and plenty of ports in one Windows laptop. It fits lighter development, admin work and travel. It is a poor fit for anyone who needs more memory or storage later, or who runs sustained heavy loads. The soldered RAM, the sealed SSD slot and the reported throttling all matter for that kind of use.
